Coffee and Provocation

An Opportunity for Lots of Bacon and Dog Food:

More Coffee I Will Not Drink:
The demand for Coffee Luak, which is coffee made from beans that have been eaten and excreted by Palm Civets, is on the rise to the point that Palm Civets are now being trapped and live-sold in the markets of Jakarta especially marked for future Coffee Luak production.

A Rise in Groundhog-related Crime:
Police in  Brookville, Pa. have charged three men with disorderly conduct for throwing a dead groundhog and a grouse into Bill's Bar.  But it count be worse as crime waves go, noted police chief Ken Dworek who sent a press release to the Associated Press noting that in tiny Brookville they "don't worry about being mugged" or being "the victim of some drug dealer."

More Elk to Come to Virginia:
In May, Virginia will get another elk delivery from Kentucky as part of a pilot program to re-introduce elk to the state.  The last elk in Virginia was shot out around the time of the Civil War. Kentucky now has 10,000 elk, up from the few dozen that were first re-introduced there in 1997 from Utah.
