What a strange thing the GOP has become in recent years.
It used to be a party of patriots and principles, cool heads and shared values.
Now it's a party of crackpots and conspiracry theorists, uncloseted racists and America-haters.
Not everyone, of course. I count many, many Republicans as my good friends. I know the old GOP is still there, but I do not understand why so many have allowed themselves to be drowned out by the warbling cry of loons. I do not expect my old Republican friends to rise up and "occupy Wall Street," but would it be so weird if they rose up and at least occupied Fox News?
