Mutant Dog Confused for Mutant Pig

In China, the animal seen at top, terrified a village when it was assumed to be a mutant pig escaped from a nearby medical research center.  In fact, the animal is a "Chinese" Crested dog, a mutant show animal that was actually created in the United States in the 1930s using hairless dogs from South America.

For the record, the "Australian" Shepherd also does not come from Australia -- it was made in America as well.
