Crimes Against Dogs in Memphis

Here's one more reason I write about hump and dump breeders... the continuing needs of dogs like this one in the Memphis, Tennessee shelter. Her crime is that she is five years old.

The crime of Memphis Animal Services is that they have photographed her as poorly as possible, and shoved her terrified into the corner of a sterile death box, not bothering to even wipe her eye or note that her name cannot be "Mr. Froto" as she is a female.

People say they want a dog, but they really want a puppy, and when they get an actual dog they too often abandon it to its likely death when it becomes inconvenient.   About 25% of all dogs in this country end up dead in the pound.

If you know anyone in the greater Memphis area, send this post or this link to them and ask them to post it around.  Also, if you go to this link you can "Facebook" this dog.  Let's see if we can change this dog's circumstances!

For more information about this little dog, call at (901) 363-1416 and ask for information about animal ID number A232907.

If you are looking to adopt a rescue Jack Russell and live elsewhere in the nation, please see the links in the right colum of this blog and/or Google "Russell Rescue" or "Jack Russell Rescue."  They exist all over, from California to Maine, and from New York to South Africa

More contact information for JRTCA rescue in each state is listed here.
