A Virginia Mountain Lion?

It was bound to happen sooner or later, and since I have actually met Sharyl Attkisson, I can report she is sober and not a crackpot. If she says she saw it, then there is a better-than-average chance it is actually out there.
There are reports of another cougar on the loose in the D.C. area -- this time in Loudoun County.

And just like when there were reports of a cougar in Northwest D.C., we're not talking about an attractive older lady. This would be an actual cougar, mountain lion or puma.

There have been several sightings near the Gilberts Corner area. CBS News correspondent Sharyl Attkisson says she a spotted a cougar in the back yard of her Loudoun County home.

Black bear are common in the area.  One thing is for sure:  Virginia is a much more likely place to find a wild mountain lion than downtown Chicago or suburban Connecticut!
